About the artist
Víctor Solís has long satirized human beings' impact on the environment. As a cartoonist and illustrator his work has appeared in numerous books, magazines, and expositions; he is currently published in the national daily newspaper Excelsior and in Mexicana Airlines' in-flight magazine Vuelo. A volume of his environmental cartoons was published in September 2008 by Ediciones B. His work spans graphic design, furniture design, puppetry, and creative collaborations for Sierra Madre, Greenpeace, the United Nations, and the IVth World Water Forum. Ten photos from this, his first endeavor combining ceramic and photography, will be published in National Geographic Traveler in early 2009.
